The Amelia booking app renders on the frontend of my website within an Elementor popup / modal. However the two drop down menus for "locations" and "employees" stay empty, even though locations and employees are configured properly. Clicking on those drop down menus, users can not chose anything.
It all works fine when the shortcode [ameliacatalog] is pasted in an Elementor section on a page. So my problem is limited to use of the Amelia frontend within a popup or - in my case - an offgrid panel that slides in from the side when the user clicks a button.
I have included a screenshot of the menu that I describe and of the Console where many js errors are being reported - errors that do not occur when I simply render Amelia on a page and not in a modal. I think the script is trying to get something that does not exist or is not reachable. How does that relate to rendering Amelia within a popup?

PS, it took some time to discover how Amelia works within an Elementor popup and here is the tip for other users that had questions about this before: it turns out it works when you create an Elementor Section with the shortcode inside. Save this Section as a template and use that template as content for the popup. Do not place the shortcode directly in the popup. You may need to install a plugin that offers popups that can take Sections as content.
I am having a similar issue with amelia shortcodes in Divi popups. Everything works except the first selection a customer needs to make: employee. Clicking the dropdown menu doesn't display the available employees. For some services, the employee selection never appears.
The responses to this issue are marked private, so I can't see if it was resolved. If you have an answer, please let me know how to fix this.
