Is it possible, to save, backup or export amelia configuration and datas tu use on an other site. I'm currently working on developpment site and need to export to production site.
Apologies for replying late, we are not working on weekends.
There isn't some way to duplicate only Amelia from one to another WordPress site, but we use and recommend the Duplicator plugin for this purpose (moving whole website from test to production).
If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask,
Hello, This is not a possible solution because I will integrate Amelia into an already configured and active training site (372 active courses, 2154 medias ... ). On my development site I have already configured Amelia for the sites, the employees as well as the schedules of each place and each person involved in this system. I will understand if the data was in the form of posts as in a lot of other plugins. I asked the question before buying before sale and the answer was yes ... Give me please a serious solution
Unfortunately, there isn't another solution for this. Everything is saved in the database, and you can only export/import (duplicate tables from one site to another one or similar) but this is not recommended because you need to take care of the foreign keys and prefixes of the tables.
Could you please tell me where exactly did you get an answer yes? Thank you.
Yes, there are foreign keys that connect more tables, and if this is not connected/done properly the plugin won't be functional. And these are added using queries. So, as I previously said, we don't recommended doing this.
Because first TMS say me it's ok and possible I work on devlopment site. If I can't do that I will lose 66 hours of overall work since I will have to reimplement all of my work into production. And ask ALL stakeholders (teachers, site manager, schools, etc.) to come back and redo the planning and configuration work on the production site. Is it possible to have simply a method ( or query ) . I'll test on on a second development site with the principals activities and integration of Amelia after. Thanks
Yes, I understand that it would take a lot of work to recreate everything on a new site.
Could you please tell me where have you had a reply that this can be done? Thanks. They probably said and meant of the duplicator plugin, that it can be done with duplicating the whole site, since mostly this is what our customers need. We haven't had questions about duplicating only Amelia to another website, but duplicating whole site from test to staging. And this is why we recommend Duplicator plugin, since we use it as well.
No, unfortunately, this can't be done with some simple method/query. You need to select all the tables in your database with amelia in its name and export them. That will create an .sql file and if the prefixes of your new domain are different than the one you have Amelia on right now, you need to open that file and change the prefixes in it. If the prefixes are the same you don't need to change anything in most cases. And then you import this file in the database of your new website.
