    Hi

I currently have the booking set up for personal training, so a time slot where someone can book the slot for 1-3 people and block out the hour.

I need to be able to add a class time slot where people can book say 1 place and leave the time slot open for 2 other people to book.

Can you please advise me how to set this up

    With Thanks

    Dave

    Hello Dave,

    Thank you for your purchase.

There is a possibility for group appointments if you set the maximum capacity of a service to be greater than 1. So in your case you can set a maximum capacity of the service to be 3. Then, you need to enable the option 'Allow booking below minimum capacity' in Amelia -> Settings -> Appointments.

You can read more about group appointments following this link and about the appointments settings here

If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask,

    Hi Marija

Thanks for your reply, still have some questions to answer please as this is not the answer for me. it may be easy to tell you what we need to achieve.

We have 4 services to sell

    (1) Personal Training - With 1 to 3 clients all on one booking (we can see how to set this up)

    (2) A massage service - 1 to 1 (we can see how to set this up)

    (3) A small group class where up to 4 people can book slots individually (one hour, twice per day). This is where we do not understand the set up, we have tried to create an event but it does not show on the booking engine.

    (4) A weekly  class with up to 8 individual slots (as point 3 we cannot see how to set this up).

As we have only one coach, how do we assign time slots for each service

    Thanks

    Dave

    Hello Dave Bladon,

If you create Events in Amelia you need to use a shortcode for events on the page since events in Amelia are separate from Services and they use separate shortcodes, they can't be both in one booking form. You can find all the shortcodes that you can use on your page following this link.

If you want an appointment to be booked by 4 or 8 people, you need to set the maximum capacity of these services to be 4 and 8. If the option 'Allow booking below minimum capacity' in Amelia -> Settings -> Appointments is enabled people can book these services individually until the maximum 4/8 is reached. The same setup as for your (1) first service (1 to 3 people).

You assign the time slots in the employees' work hours. By clicking on 'pencil' icon you change the work time period and assign services for this time period. By clicking on 'plus' sign next to 'Apply to All Days' you add a new work time period for that day.

    Hi Marija

That was helpful we have managed to set up the services now.
    Another question please;
We want each session to automatically be approved, we have done this in settings but when we book we get a pending confirmation on screen. Please advise

    Thanks
    Dave

    Hello Dave Bladon,

Could you please tell me if the minimum capacity for the service is greater than 1 and have you disabled the option 'Allow booking below minimum capacity: ' in Amelia -> Settings -> Appointments,? If yes, please enable it and check if the issue is gone.

    Hello Dave,

Could you please tell me do the appointments have status Pending in Amelia -> Appointments list?

If they have status approved there and this is only on the front-end, it might be a caching issue.

    Hi Marija

I've cleared the cache and now we have approved bookings and all the coms are working.

One more thing I've noticed, when I try to make another booking I'm getting an error on the email confirmation field (see screen shot). Not sure why this is happening.... thanks Dave

    Hello Dave,

You need to disable the option 'Check customer's name for existing email when booking ' in Amelia -> Settings -> Roles Settings -> Customer. If this option is enabled everything that customers fill in need to be exactly the same while creating appointments as the information provided for the first booking (small/big letter, space, etc.).

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Marija

That's a great help thanks for ironing out all these set up issues, it s a great support.

I'm nearly complete, one other thing which is cosmetic. With the drop down option I have set up the heading as ' please choose a session', which is perfect but it also is repeated (see screen shot). Is there any way I can take away that second heading with the *

    Much appreciated

    Dave

    Hello Dave,

Apologies for replying late, we are not working on weekends.

    You are welcome! Thank yousmile.png

You can try adding this custom HTML to the page where you have your Amelia shortcode:

    <style>#amelia-step-booking1 > div.am-select-service > form > div.el-form-item.am-select-service-option.is-required > label {display:none;} </style>

Please let me know if it helped.

    Hi Marija

The plug-in is working well with bookings !

I am however putting manual bookings into the back end using the calendar and it does not appear to block these off from the front end. Can you please confirm the settings to rectify this.

    Thanks !

    Hello Dave,

Could you please confirm when you say adding appointments in the back-end using calendar you mean Google calendar, right?

If yes, have you followed all of the instructions in our documentation for the Google sync? Have you connected your employees to their Google calendar successfully? Are the appointments from Amelia created in the Google calendar? If yes, have you enabled the option 'Remove Google Calendar Busy Slots' in Amelia-> Settings-> Google calendar settings? And are the events created in Google calendar created with status 'Busy'.

P.S. When you have questions or issues which are not related to the title of the active ticket can you please open a new one, and we will gladly help you there. This way, issues and questions which are related to different subjects will be in different tickets so other customers or our support agents can find them easily. Our policy is to have one issue or question per ticket.

    Thank you for understanding!

    Hello Dave,

Could you please tell me have you set your city timezone in your WordPress General settings? Since this timezone setting is applied to Amelia as well there can be a mismatch in the time slots between the back-end and the front-end.
