When trying to create a table from an imported excel file, the "create the table button" is not working... with either of the "open in standard editor" or "open in Excel style editor" option. when either option is selected the option immediately closes but no table is created. I have just updated wordpress and all plugins inc WPDatatables.. now running V 2.8.
Alexsander... problem resolved... I must have still had a formula in the table... I copied and pasted values and it was all sorted.
While I am at it... one really useful improvement to the datatables plugin would be the option of copying the configuration from one table and using that for a new table.... I add a new table each period and have to spend probably 20 minutes or more setting the configuration for the table up... the same as the last time I did it...
Have you tried duplicating the table? When you have a table that you've configured, and want to create a new one similar to that, you can use the duplicate option:
For manual tables, I would strongly advise leaving the slider enabled:
This way, the plugin will create a new table in the database, so changes in the new table will not affect the original table.
Aleksander... I don't think so... I want to import a new dataset... with same columns and apply a configuration for an existing table.. we are looking around 200 rows of data.

Plugin is also activated via Envato.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?
Thanks

Hello Peter.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Can you, please send us the Excel file you're trying to import, so we can test it locally?
Please note that this is a public ticket, so make sure you enable the "Private" response, so the file is only visible to us.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Ah, I see Peter.
Well, the only thing that comes to mind is to duplicate the values of wp_datatables_columns row for the first table onto the rows of the new table.
It's a good idea, though, and I'll forward it to our development team.
