    Hi There,

I am considering purchasing this plug-in. My main concern is the google calendar API two-way synchronization between the plug-in and my google calendar. I run a private psychotherapy practice and need to automate my hour to hour bookings. I want clients to book on the website and see my real time availability on a day to day basis. Once I set the parameters of the plug-in which I want to use mainly for initial bookings through my website, I want to be able to make changes predominantly on my mobile device using my google calendar app. Quite simply, I want there to be full two-way communication between my google calendar and the plug in, so that there is a 100% accurate reflection of whatever is marked on my google calendar as busy to block out times on Amelia to reflect my availability.

The current plug-in Im using "Appointment Hour Booking", has unfortunately failed to deliver so far with the sync feature. one problem I encountered with them is that their plug in doesn't recognized any events that were created using the "repeat" function on the google calendar app (which include virtually all my previous appointments that were originally created in my google calendar and that were set to repeat weekly), so I end up with the plug in marking as open time slots that are busy in my google calendar.  Does Amelia recognize events that are considered to be "repeated" events from an original event?

If a client books through the plug-in on my site and I "edit" the appointment in my google calendar to repeat every week or every other week, will this change be registered in Amelia?

Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi Juan,

    Thanks for your interest!

We have google sync and all the slots that are busy will not be available for booking in Amelia. All that is scheduled in Amelia will be reflected in Google calendar, with custom fields you can cheese what you want to see in Google event. The only thing that is not possible is to delete or reschedule the Amelia appointment in Google and to expect that it will be deleted or reschedule in Amelia, cause it can't be done that way for now.

More about Google Calendar sync can be seen here: https://wpamelia.com/configuring-google-calendar/

Let me know if you have further questions!

    Hi Nevena,

Thanks so much for replying so quickly and on Thanksgiving! It speaks highly if your dedication to the product. I think I understand. If your are saying that any busy slots on my google calendar will not be marked as open in Amelia, this means that if I reschedule an Appointment that was made in Amelia on my Google calendar and I mark it as recurrent every week and  busy, it will block out those times in amelia regardless just by virtue of those events being created and marked as busy in my  google calendar correct?

Im assuming though, that the original booking wouldn't be deleted from amelia or the rescheduled appointments visible on the back end of the plug in. Is this correct?

If thats the case, it would mean that I would have to manually delete the original appointment in Amelia to liberate that time slot again, right?

    Thanks again for your support.

    Best and Happy Thanksgiving!

    Juan

    Hi Juan,

Yes, you understood it correctly. All that is Busy in google won't be available for booking in Amelia, all the appointments form Amelia will be shown in your Google calendar, but all the events n Google that are not made through Amelia will not be available for booking but wont be shown in Amelia.

    Glad we understood each othersmile.png

    Happy Thanksgiving!
