Hey everyone!
With the holiday season upon us, we want to share our upcoming working hours:
- New Year: Our team will be off on January 1st and 2nd. We’ll be back on Friday, January 3rd, to respond to any messages received during this time.
- Weekend: As usual, we don’t work on weekends, so January 4th and 5th will also be non-working days.
- Orthodox Christmas: Our office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, January 6th and 7th for the holiday.
After that, we’ll return to our regular schedule and assist you as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find tons of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel), which might just have the answers you need while we’re away.
Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!
Warm regards and happy holidays!

Hi,
I own a webdesign agency. We work only with WordPress. Some of our customers are asking as to develop data-driven websites. That is, to display tables based on some kind of information.
We work with FacetWP, GravityForms or ACF Pro, for example. But what we want to build is different.
Imagine a website to review movies. A movie should have lot's of related data and, more important, multiple pictures.
So, is there a way to build tables with wpDataTables that displays a list of movies? Example: a table with name, main picture and 3 or more columns. And, then, a "more details" link that, when clicked, opens the full info of the movie...with a gallery with all the related images.
Is it possible to build? When I say movies I can say employees, books, and so on. A typical database driven website.
And is it possible to "add a movie" with this plugin? What's the best option to store all that info?
Because we use ACF to create custom post types, and FacetWP to filter listings (WooCommerce products, or cuastom post types). But it's not enough to create a website like the one explained.
Any example (demo)? I've checked all the examples, but didn't see anything similar.
Thanks in advance.
Hello Daniel.
Thank you for your interest in our plugin.
Example: a table with name, main picture and 3 or more columns. And, then, a "more details" link that, when clicked, opens the full info of the movie...with a gallery with all the related images.
At the moment we don't have the "more details" possibility built in. Not yet. However, that is currently in the final stages of development, and a new add-on "Master Detail" will be released within the next couple of weeks. That will have that exact feature. Gallery with related images is a "maybe", since you would be able to store more images in a single cell, or add a link to an existing gallery, or something like that.
And is it possible to "add a movie" with this plugin? What's the best option to store all that info?
Every table can be editable, and you can add new rows to it. You can define editing roles for each table also. The best way to store that info would be in a database (in my opinion). That leaves a lot of options for the table, like using Placeholders, changing the displayed data using custom Queries, and so on.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
