The walk through is out dated interface with Google Admin Console and therefore leaves it very confusing on how to properly set up Amelia to send automated confirmation and reminder emails via SMTP, additionally the Google Calendar 2 way sync documentation is also out of date .  This makes it quite difficult to follow line for line instructions that are not accurate to todays Google Admin Console interface.

I would appreciate assistance in setting this up as it has been a 20 hour non stop struggle attempting to resolve this after purchasing the Amelia plugin

    Hello dan ohara

    Thank you for your purchase.

I'm sorry you didn't find the tutorial useful, but I just went through it 3 times using the documentation, and it is spot on. Please take a look at the attached video for a better feel of how it goes. You can see it compared to the documentation, and it does check out.

Configuring Google Calendar, however, has nothing to do with Notification settings. For Notifications to work, simply enter the needed credentials, choose the Mail Service, enter the Port and choose the Secure option (if needed for your Mail Service), and that is it.

If you're having issues with SMTP, and you're using Google, Yahoo or Outlook, please check with your hosting provider if they have blocked those SMTPs.

If this is the case, my advice would be to either use WP Mail, or WP Mail SMTP plugin, which should work around those restrictions.

    Kind Regards,
