Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

Hi, I'm struggling to work out how I can customise the event feature of Amelia. I'd like to remove/restrict the number of persons to '1'.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hello Paul Ramotowski,

    Thank you for your purchase!

Unfortunately, there isn't an option to limit the booking to 1 for events in Amelia. But, you can hide this part with custom CSS so it won't be visible on the front-end when customers book events and the customers will only be able to book the event for themselves (because the default number there is 1).

If you want to hide it and need any help with this please let me know.

If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask,

    Hi Marija,

After signing up and browsing through existing tickets I found the css needed but thanks for the reply.

Now I have a working 'event booking' scenario I'm struggling with the following scenarios.

    1. I want the user to only be able to attend the event once, as in, they shouldn't be able to click attend, reload the page, click attend etc etc.

    2. If the user wants to cancel their attendance of an event how do they do this?

3.If a user wants to view all events they are have agreed to attend, how do they do this?

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hello Paul,

You are welcome. Glad to hear you managed to find the answer.

    1. Unfortunately, there isn't an option to restrict customers to book an event only once in Amelia. You can maybe make a custom field text for the events which will state that the event can be booked only once and that you will delete the duplicate attendees. And then manually delete the duplicate customers from the attendees list if they double-book.

    2. You can put a placeholder for a link on which customers can click to cancel the event (you put it in the notifications). You will find this placeholder in the </> Show Email Placeholders in Amelia -> Notifications.

    3. They need to login to WordPress (you can give them WP user Amelia Customer role) and they will see the events that they booked. You can read more about roles settings here
