Hello, I currently have Amelia set up for the following: - I use events. Each event is a specific exam/location at a specific date and time that one of my clients can book.
What I am now looking for, is to expand my services via Amelia: - Set up different courses at various locations at specific date/time slots. Each of these courses will have, for example, 10 seats available to book. My clients can book a seat at one of these courses. - The booking form must be completely separate from the exam events. I do not want to confuse the clients that book a course with the exams/locations, nor do I want to confuse the clients who want to book an exam with course dates.
So far, I've set up a few courses as "services" (so they will not intervene with events), and a specific employee (the other employees are strictly for the events) for the courses only, but then my client can book course A at any day/time as long as I am available. I must be able to determine that december 1 is for course A, and december 2 for course B. How can I accomplish this?
If I understood you correctly, you have service 1 - "Course A", and service 2 - "Course B", correct?
If that is true, here's what you need to do:
Open the employee's tab, and go to Work hours. There you can remove all working hours for that employee, and go to "Special Days". In special days you can assign how many hours that employee will work, on which date(s), and on which service - for example:
1. No working hours:
2. Special days setup:
3. Here's how it looks when you add both dates:
Please note that the date picker in Special Days works on two clicks - one for the starting date, and second for the end date. If you need to assign working hours for one specific day, simply double click on it.
Hello Aleksandar, thanks for your reply. I've tried what you suggest, and I see that it does indeed allow me to set a specific date + time for a specific course.
What I now still need, is separate forms for a) booking an exam (event), and b) booking a course (service). I don't want to confuse someone who wants to book an exam with course dates and vice versa. How do I create this separate form?
One with [ameliabooking] shortcode, and the other with [ameliaevents].
You can take a look at all our shortcodes in the FAQ section, and see what each shortcode displays in front end. Then you can decide which one is the best for you.

Hello again Jaap Bijl.
You simply need to create two separate pages.
One with [ameliabooking] shortcode, and the other with [ameliaevents].
You can take a look at all our shortcodes in the FAQ section, and see what each shortcode displays in front end. Then you can decide which one is the best for you.
Kind Regards,
