I have tried more than a dozen times to install a table of about 1.5 million lines and five fields/columns. The CSV file size is just under 130 MB at the moment. Small files work fine - up to about 5000000 lines and then the process 'hangs up" giving a server error. Any ideas why this might happen? What can be done to provide an environment where these large tables can be created? [Wayne]
I am sorry to disappoint you, but as per our documentation:
This format will work only up to a certain limit (no exact limit, but 3000-5000 cells is a good example). If you have a larger file, the page load time will increase. For large data sets it makes sense to import the data to MySQL, you can use “Create a table by importing data from data source” option to do this, or import the file in the database, and use SQL Query based tables to pull the info.
My advice would be to import that CSV file in the database, and then create a table linked to an existing data source/SQL.
Both methods create server-side tables, which can display tables with millions of rows.
