    hi

in our case we will have to assign the employee profile to external consultants - they are not part of the company - as we are building a platform where people can choose to pay for a consultation with the consultant they prefer.

    Questions:

    • can consultants create/edit some sort of front-end profile with a button to their calendar?
    • if not, can I add a button to book their services anywhere?
    • once I add a consultant as an employee and give them access, would they see all bookings from other consultants too?

    thank you

    Hi Giordano,

    Thanks for your interest.

Employees do not have frontend cabinet, but if you make consultant as employee they will get Amelia Employee user role. When they login they can see their calendar and appointment and events. They do not see other consultant bookings. There's some permissions that you can choose if you want to allow your employees or not.

    Amelia Employee

“Amelia Employee” is the role you can give to some or all of your employees. Once you create a new Amelia Employee user an automatic email will be sent to your employee with a username and a URL link where they can set their password.
With this role, your employees can access the list of their appointments on the appointments page or directly on the calendar, and they can also export the list for ease in tracking. If you want to give more permissions to your employees you can enable four more options which you can find in the plugin’s Roles Settings so your employees can:

    • Configure their schedule,
    • Configure their days off,
    • Configure their special days and/or
    • Manage their appointments
    • Manage their events

These options can be enabled separately or all together and once you enable them your employees will be able to also add or edit their appointments/events (change status, reschedule etc.), edit their personal information, working hours, days off, and special days. They will not, however, be able to see other pages on the back-end side or see the appointments from the other employees.

You have two options to assign this role to your employee:

    1. Go to the “Employee” modal, click on the “WordPress User” option, and click on the “Create New” button
    2. From the WordPress menu go to Users » Add new, and create a WordPress user with an “Amelia Employee” role. After you create a WordPress user, go to the “Employee” modal and under the “WordPress User” option select a WordPress user you’ve previously created.

If you want to change an employee’s role to Manager, you can do so on the “Users” page of the WordPress admin panel. Just find the employee you wish to change, click “Edit”, and under the “Role” option choose the “Amelia Manager” role.

Take a look here to learn more about users and roles in Amelia: https://wpamelia.com/users-and-roles/

With a shortcode you can add booking form to any page, you can make a shortcode so you can show available bookings just for one consultant. You can link that page to a button.

As I said, they do not see bookings from other consultants.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have further questions.

    hi,

can they also set their own price for their service?

How would the payments work? For example, would the payments go to them directly or to my website first?

Also, is there a shortcut to give them access to their dashboard in order to apply changes? The whole point here is to create a platform which should look completely "branded". Not like wordpress back-end. They shouldn't be able to tell the difference between their user-area in the website and their Amelia-dashboard.

    Hope this makes sense.

    thanks

    Hi Giordano,

Unfortunately at the moment employees cannot set prices and set services. The admin needs to create the services. We can allow in one of the next updates for the employee to change the price, capacity and check the services from the list, but the list needs to be created from admin side.

As for the payments, at the moment all payments go to one set account, so there is no option for each employee to directly receive the payment.

Unfortunately wordpress back-end would be their back-end. You need something very similar to the multi-vendor functionality and something like this is not supported in our plugin at the moment.

The multi-vendor option has been requested but since it would require huge amount of work we cannot add it in our plan yet.

    Best regards.

    Hi Isadora,

When can we expect it to be possible for employees to set their own prices for services?

  • [deleted] replied

    Hi Marc,

In our Roles Settings at the Settings page you can now enable option for employees to see Assigned services tab in their profile. There they can assign services, change prices for them and change minimum and maximum capacity (on the side of that particular employee). Currently we are working on the front-end employee panel where employees will be able to do all these on the front-end page (you will be able to add the panel via a shortcode to the page). The front-end employee panel will be ready in a couple of weeks.

    Best regards.
