There are quite a few texts that are not translated from the German files (PO). And I think to change the php files is no option, because of updates. Look at the screen shots for texts like copy, new entry, edit, delete edit entry, cancel, next, prev, apply and add new.
Most of those texts are translated in the po file.
We don't have any translators in our company, and we're relying on our customers to provide us with translations. I guess whoever sent that file over to us didn't translate it fully.
Words can be changed using POEDIT or Loco Translate for example very easily. I suggest you to install Loco Translate and then to translate these strings.
If you want to use POEDIT then this is the instruction:
1. Download the wpDataTables plugin from our TMS Store or from email that you receive when you made purchase and save the .zip file on your computer.
4. After that open the program and open the file from the extracted folder on your computer wpdatatables/languages/de_DE/wpdatatables-de_DE.po.
5. Translate all the strings that are not translated
6. Save the translation.
7. Go to wpdatatables/languages/de_DE/ folder and copy these two files called wpdatatables-de_DE.po and wpdatatables-de_DE.mo back to your website in the location ../wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/languages/de_DE/.
Maybe I was not clear in my English: all those texts are translated in the German PO files. I have looked at the files using POEDIT.
The software just does not seem to care. I think, this is a fault of the software, and I cannot do anything to help because I do not want to change the PHP files. I would loose upgradeability.
I translated some strings as best as I could with my knowledge of German, saved the file, and switched both wpDataTables and WordPress site to German, and I could see the changed strings:
So, it seems to be working fine on my end.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I must have then searched and found the wrong items in the PO files. I will give it another try. I am sorry that I cannot give you access to our admin site, as my clients are prohibiting anybody outside the realm of the project to gain access. They are themselves bound by law. But thank you for the offer.
