I have created a manual database. The database has a "add attachment" field. When I try to add an attachment, the file base window opens, I select a file from the computer disk and after loading there is the information "There was a problem loading the file. Please try again later." And it's been like that for over two weeks. Everything on the wordpress side is fine. So the problem is in WPdatatables. I am asking for urgent help.
The problem is when loading the file in frontend when adding "new entry"
wpDataTables is using WordPress's built-in media library and modals to upload files. Do attachment uploads work from back-end? If they do work in back, but not in front, this is usually linked to a permission issue implemented either by a security plugin, mod_security or other settings on your server.
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I cannot see anything wrong in the back, so the issue is probably - as I mentioned - permissions.
Please see if you have any security plugins installed, and if not - reach out to your hosting provider, explain the issue you're experiencing so hey can either white-list wpDataTables actions for non-logged in users, or remove the permission limits altogether.
