Thank you for your understanding, and we wish you a wonderful holiday weekend!
On Windows 10, chrome and Edge browser, using the shortcode [ameliasearch], when the service name is too long, on the vertical list on the left side, the name of that service is replaced by ... as can be seen on the attached file.
On iPad, it clips the end, which seems to be a better option. On Android, the calendar is hidden (one has to click on menu to see it), but the services are completely visible.
How can we force the service's name to wrap to the next line?
Thank you,
Rui Duarte
Hello Rui Duarte,
This is the way our designers thought would be the most convenient way to show the long service names in Amelia.
This can probably be changed with some custom CSS media queries for different sizes, which you will need to put on the page where you have your Amelia shortcode. So, you can try this out. But please note: customization is not included in our support system.
If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask,
Hello Marija,
Have you seen the screenshot? You're telling me that the designers deliberately decided to replace a service's name by ellipsis? What's the logic of that?! On mobile, long services are cut after some characters, but on desktop, all we get is "...". Why can't we have the same logic on the desktop that we have on the mobile?
Best regards,
Hello Rui Duarte,
Apologies for replying late, we are not working on weekends.
Sorry for misunderstanding. I see now, the designers made this solution with the dots (...) when the services are too long, but they shouldn't replace whole name of the service.
Could you please send me a link to the page to check this out? If the link is here on your profile, please send me a password. Thanks!
The names could be probably wrapped with some CSS.
