Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

planning resources in services

    Dear Amelia

Planning resources within our services is a must-have for our needs: How will a "complex" service that contains: a) laser treatment, b) employee, c) room#2 d) device = laser) will be set up & shown in the front end ?

Since I only have 1 laser among all emplyoyees, it only can be booked once for a given time slot. For the customer only the provided service "laser treatment" is of interest, not the underlying simple services as room & device.

We do need gift vouchers (without specific dates), that customers can personalize (eg. clean out price tag) and directly print out:

WooCommerce PDF Product Vouchers appears to be the solution.

Any experience with the interaction with Amelia?

Any other voucher recommendation for Amelia?

Since you use Woo as payment gateway, I assume that all customer data with sales will be saved in WooCommerce?!?

Or do we end up with 2 customer databases?

    Thank you for your efforts!

    Hi Michael,

    Thank you for your interest.

How you can achieve this is to set up Service, Employee and as a location you can set up room. If you link all the employees to the sam calendar so if one is booked the others become unavailable as well.

We do not integrate with voucher, but we have coupons in Amelia that you can generate and send to the customers.

All is stored in your database.

Let me know if you have further questions.

    Dear Nevena,

thank you for your fast reply.

I found https://wpamelia.com/services-catalog/ but still I have not fully understood if somebody books a "laser treatment" that is only available once (only 1 laser in our shop) among all employees & rooms  > does this service "laser treatment" becomes unavailable for the given time slot?

That would be [ameliacatalog service=1 employee room] ?

    Best regards

    Michael

    Dear Nevena,

another detail question: if I have a customer in-store paying after his treatment and he wants to add a product "body lotion" > I need to process the sale "treatment" & "body lotion" in WooCommerce (?). So I'll end up having all client database & purchase history in Woo (having one database only)?

We want to identify our "gold clients" who spend e.g. 500€/month on treatments/products.

    Hi Michael,

If you connect all the Employees to the same Google calendar, when one is booked, the others will be unavailable for that slot as well, since that slot is be busy in google calendar linked to all employees.

You can add body lotion s an extra, but to have it in history in Amelia it is need to be added during booking. You have one database on Amelia all appointments are saved, and in Woo you have just orders.

We don't have an option for gold clients, the only option we have is to initiate a coupon automatically after certain number of bookings. Find out more about coupons here: https://wpamelia.com/admin-finances/

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

  • Michael replied

    Dear Nevena,

    thank you!

We will give it a shot. I guess all the relevant details will appear when working with the details.

So I'll buy Amela, which is apparently the best WP booking tool I can find on the market. Since only professional booking tools paid on a monthly basis have the combination of booking shop integration we will check out if the Woo / Amelia combination will work for us. Especially checking out customers must be fast & easy during Xmas, but this will be the duty of Woo. Adding a product as an extra (after treatment) will only work when customer pays /during checkout since we do not know if a product will be purchased "during" booking > it only makes sense during checkout.

  • Michael replied

Just to give a feedback for your developers > killer features would be:

Inventory/ products that can be added when checking out customer (when paying). At it's best that would be possible by opening the appointment and adding product.

PDF print vouchers - great feature since a lot of people need a "personal" last minute gift.

    Kind regards

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for the purchase and for the feedback I am passing this on to our development team.

    Have a great week!

    Dear Nevena,

how do I create a service that is only available once among all employees (resource = 1 Lazer, employees = 5)??

I need to have a service "Lazer treatment" that can only booked once for a given time slot ( resource capacity = 1) among all 5 employees.

How do I attach a given room (resource capacity =3) to a service?

    Kind regards

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

This is a pre-purchase category, you should open ticket in Amelia category, since this is reserved for pre-purchase questions. Please verify your license, unfortunately a lot of people are miss-using our support so we need to ask you to verify the purchase to use the support.

    To answer your question:

You make a service with maximum capacity 1 and assign all 5 employees to it. You need to make one google calendar  and add it to all employees, you should enable option Remove busy time slots, this way when one is booked the other time slot at that time becomes unavailable.

I am not sure about your last question. Can you please explain?

  • Michael replied

    Hi Nevena,

the "room" question is about how do I attach a specific room#3 to a service, so I have this room#3 unavailable for other services.

    Thank you for your attention.

    Michael

Hi Michael, that is not possible with the plugin built in features.
