I'd like some information how Amelia assigns employees to appointments when the "choose employee" option is turned off.
I understand that Amelia considers which employees are available for an appointment, and who is assigned to different services, but if there are multiple employees available and assigned to a certain service, how does the software decide who wins the appointment?
If you leave "Any Employee", or hide that select-box from the booking form, Amelia assigns employees randomly. At the moment, there's no logic to determine which employee has more busy slots, and to assign the appointment to whoever has less appointments already scheduled.
We carefully follow customers requirements and try to implement most of them if they appear in requests from time to time, so we will add to our idea list and look into some possible solutions on plugin side in the future.
Hey!

Thanks for the insight!
Hello BenMcLellan.
If you leave "Any Employee", or hide that select-box from the booking form, Amelia assigns employees randomly. At the moment, there's no logic to determine which employee has more busy slots, and to assign the appointment to whoever has less appointments already scheduled.

Great thanks for the info. Having different logic options might be a nice future update!
Hi again BenMcLellan.
We certainly are considering it.
We carefully follow customers requirements and try to implement most of them if they appear in requests from time to time, so we will add to our idea list and look into some possible solutions on plugin side in the future.
