Hi, Do you have any plans to integrate ical, or other calendars and email notifications that are non-google emails? I am trying to decide if this app works for us.
Essentially can Amelia work without google calendar and gmail accounts.
Thanks for reaching out! We are glad you are interested in Amelia.
We have a plan to integrate with ical, but unfortunately not for now. It is not in our priority list at the moment. It will probably be implemented in the future but I can't say exactly when. For now, we have a plan to integrate with Outlook and that will probably be implemented in the beginning of the next year.
Regarding the email notifications, they can be set up for other accounts as well not just gmail, using SMTP (or WP mail or Mailgun). In our documentation, it is shown how to configure SMTP mail service for Gmail as an example, but you can set it up for any other outgoing service that supports SMTP for a mail client.
In our newest release we added Web hooks, which are mostly added for using with Zapier (and other automation tools), so you can check out if this will be helpful for your case.
If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to ask,
