Yeah, if you create a table linked to a Google Spreadsheet, the table will update every time the spreadsheet updates. However, this table will not be editable from within wpDataTables plugin.
Also, please note: Once you create a table from a Google Spreadsheet, changes in the core file from which a table is created, like:
Changing the column’s name,
Changing the column’s order,
Deleting the column, and
Adding a new column.
are highly not recommended, because the old table will not work, at the moment. If you make any of these changes, please recreate the table again.
There is a cache on the Google side, so when you update the table it might take up to 5-15 minutes to be reflected in wpDataTable.
Is there a way that Google sheets can be incorporated into WPtables, such that if the spreadsheets updates, so does WPTables automatically?
