Hey there, Awesome Customers!

Just a heads up: We'll be taking a breather to celebrate International Workers' Day (May 1st and 2nd - Wednesday and Thursday) and Orthodox Easter from Good Friday (May 3rd) through Easter Monday (May 6th). So, from May 1st to May 6th, our team will be off enjoying some well-deserved downtime.

During this time, our customer support will be running on a smaller crew, but don't worry! We'll still be around to help with any urgent matters, though it might take us a bit longer than usual to get back to you.

We'll be back in action at full throttle on May 7th (Tuesday), ready to tackle your questions and requests with gusto!

In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find loads of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel). These gems might just have the answers you're looking for while we're kicking back.

Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!

Catch you on the flip side!

Warm regards,

TMS

    Hi,

is there a way to notify Amelia Manager level users or specified admins about new pending appointments? We manage appointments on behalf of our therapists, hence we only notify them once the appointment status is changed to 'Confirmed'. For 'Pending' appointments, we'd like one admin person to be notified about ALL the employees.

    Thanks,
    Andrius

    Hello Andrius,

There is an option "Send all notifications to the additional address:" in Amelia -> Settings -> Notification Settings where you can set one additional address where ALL notifications will be sent.

But, I am not sure if this would suit your needs. You can check it out and see if it works for your case.

Unfortunately, there are no other options in Amelia for sending notifications.

If you have any further questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask,

    Marija,

I'm aware of this setting and we are using it already. However, I'd like to see more flexibility around the business workflow in the future. For now it seems that Amelia's tailored to a single type of workflow which is predominantly driven by self-service. In our scenario, the process is more controlled and managed by our staff than customers. Hence having a single admin makes sense and being able to email pending appointments to one central place would add a lot of value to us.

Any plans to have it in future versions?

    Hello Andrius,

I see your point. We haven't had such requests so far and that is why we haven't thought of implementing something like this. I will forward this to the development and management team so they can check it out and consider implementing it.

But, in our newest release, we have implemented a feature 'Web hooks' for integration with Zapier and other similar automation tools. You can check this out, maybe this would be helpful for your case. You can read more about this feature here

If you have any further questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask,

Thanks a lot for forwarding this request on to the decision makers on your end.

As for Zapier, do you know when's the release scheduled to be dropped?

    A.

    You are welcome!

The 'Web hooks' feature was added in version 2.3 which was released on the 22nd of October (last week). You can check out the changelog (new features and bug fixes) for Amelia here

Great! However, the wordpress update feature doesn't detect a new release. Do I have to do the updates manually myself?

    Hello Andrius,

To enable auto update you need to add the purchase key in the Activation Settings Dialog in Amelia -> Settings -> Activation.

There were some issues with the auto updates on some servers, we fixed them in our newest release, so if this is the case with your server as well you would need to do it manually. Sorry about this.

The instruction for the manual update if you need it:

    1) Download the zip from our store or from the email that you received when you made the purchase

    2) Use FTP to open /yourwordpressfolder/wp-content/plugins

    3) Delete existing ameliabooking folder

    4) Upload previously downloaded ameliabooking folder through FTP to plugins folder (unzip it)

    5) Go to WP-admin panel, open Plugins section

    6) Deactivate Amelia Plugin, and then activate it again

    7) Clear server and browser cache

    ___________________________________________________________

If you are using hosting where you are not allowed to your FTP  then follow those instructions:

    1) Download the zip from our store or from the email that you received when you made the purchase

    2) Delete Amelia plugin from WordPress Plugins page

    3) Click on Add new on Plugins page

    4) Click on Upload plugin on Plugins page

    5) Choose previously downloaded ameliabooking zip file

    6) When uploading is done, please Activate Amelia plugin

    7) Clear server and browser cache.

Please note that if you delete plugin from Plugins page you WILL NOT lose your data, because it is already saved in your database.

Please note that our plugin have a size of around 6 MB so if yo are not able to upload the plugin through WordPress plugins page, then you need to increase following:

    upload_max_file size,

    post_max_size ,

    max_execution_time

You should be able to find these values in your php.ini file or on your hosting panel. If you can't find it yourself please ask your hosting provider to provide it.
