After adding my mysql server connection details for external, and verifying the connection was working within the entry form, I'm not seeing anything other than "WP Connection" in the drop down within the wpDataTables section to choose from.
Also when going back to the external setup area, there no longer appear to be any profiles listed there, simply that external has been enabled.
Can anyone provide some clarification on what could be going wrong here?
