Sigh... I really want this plugin to work, but...

    1. The installation failed using the wordpress installer.
    2. Tried to install from the wordpress plugin online library. Now installation worked well, but the installed plugin was only basic and there was no way to put in purchase code or anything.
    3. Then I manually uploaded the plugin to the plugins folder using ftp-client.
    4. Then I started fill in information in the settings. Employees, categories and services.
    5. Tried setting up the catalog view using Gutenberg block element.
    6. Front end stated that employees, category or service was missing, even though it wasn't.
    7. Contacted support and got a solution changes something in the code of core files.
    8. I found that most recent wordpress version resulted in several errors, so I downgraded to 5.1 and it seemed to work better, but still with small glitches.

I have the feeling that this plugin using crowdsourcing having us, customers test the plugin on our sites and return with bug reporting on support even though it is sold as a stable product. It seems like an alpha release.

How does the roadmap look concerning bugfixes and such? Any updates coming up that will make this plugin work like a stable release?

I know I might seem frustrated, but I really love the look and feel of this plugin and I would LOVE it to work as well as it looks. So please don't let us down.

    Best regards,
    Mads Holm Andersen

    Hello Mads.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with the plugin.

Unfortunately the issues like conflicts with third party plugins or themes are always possible due to the nature of WP, so with a lot of plugins and themes out there, there is no telling when a bug or a conflict may arise.

We are focused on fixing all bugs as soon as they appear, and trust me when I say we are testing the plugin before every update.

A new update will be released in a few days, so that will fix the issue with the Gutenberg editor, and some other bugs we found in the last two weeks.

We can promise that we're doing our best to make Amelia the best on the market. It's still a relatively young plugin, and we're trying to catch up with all feature requests, along with fixing bugs, and adding new features.

    Best regards.

    Kind Regards,

    Aleksandar Vuković

thank you for getting back to me and taking my message seriously,

I don’t have any other plugins though. I try to start with a fresh wp install every time - going on fifth now.

I set up a new domain on my managed vps product alongside my other domains, but every time I start from scratch I run into problems that just won’t let me get to a point where a I am able to do a front end test throughout till checkout. Even for a young (paid) plugin I think that is frustrating and it puzzles me.

    Hi again Mads.

Can you tell me exactly which problem you ran into this time?

You're mentioning issues with installing, and the Gutenberg block, and we sent you a fix for that. There will be an update in a few days, so this will be resolved permanently by the way.

We are using WordPress 5.2.4, and are experiencing no issues with the plugin.

    Best regards.

    Hi again Mads.

    No worries.

I logged in again, installed a fresh version of Amelia, latest version, and confirmed I could add an employee, category and a service.

It should all be working fine now, just configure the plugin to suit your needs, and that's it.

By the way, I installed it using the normal installation method - .zip upload to Plugins section in the database.
