I know that with the new shortcode [ameliaevents event=1] I can display only a single event, however where can I see what the ID is of an event? I can only do this through trial and error it seems as the backend events view doesn't show me the ID. Or am I missing something?
All IDs (event, appointment, service, employee, etc.) are being stored in the database. You can see the event's ID by opening wp_amelia_events table in PHPMyAdmin, or by right-clicking/inspecting the page. There you can see something like this:
And "5" and "6" are event IDs.
We're looking of changing that for the future releases, so it is easier to locate the ID.
I had to install a Database plugin to see this a little easier, for my client it would be great if the Event ID is simply visible in the Events Backend View as he will want to use the new shortcode to display a single event on the landingpages for that event and I don't want to teach him how to use SQL queries or browse databases :-)
Yeah, that's something a lot of people already requested.
Believe me when I say that our developers are working on a lot of new features, and it's just a matter of time when this is included as well.
At the moment, there's no way of seeing the ID other than what I suggested. You may want to keep that to yourself, I agree. I hope it will be added soon enough.
