We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Greetings, I am looking to create an online database. (I have very little computer science knowledge so I apologize if I misuse the vocabulary)
I want to make a database that allows users to find each other by narrowing down people using filters. There will be a few preset filter categories. But I'm curious if I can have people add to the filters themselves
Also, is there a way that they can add themselves to the database or source. Or whatever they're searching.
I want people with similar characteristics to be able to find each other, be able to filter it down to even more specific filters that they add themselves if they need to and add their own selves and to the database with the necessary category information.
Is this possible with this plugin or another one?
Hello Micah
Thank you for your interest in our plugin.
No worries, I believe I understood your questions.
Manual tables, tables created from the database (SQL query based tables), and tables imported from existing data sources can be editable.
Tables linked to an existing data source (Excel, CSV, XML, JSON, Serialized PHP Array and Google Spreadsheets), on the other hand are not.
Every table can have advanced filtering enabled, so your visitors can filter the data in the table. You can also choose which columns will be editable, and which ones will not, so you can limit the data entered by your site visitors. When they add data to the table, that data will be included in the filters.
If you have a category column, they will also be able to filter the table per values in that column.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
