I'm trying to set up a remote mySQL db for my data table. I'd like to use the mySQL installation at another domain. I have everything set up and I can test the connection and it connects correctly, but when I try at add the db to the list, it gives an error connecting. The error message lets me know that it is trying to connect to the remote database with the username from the currently connected DB, not the new remote db.
Do you, maybe, have a database connection which doesn't work? If you do, please delete it, and try again. If the test is successful, you shouldn't be having this issue.
If this doesn't help, can you please provide me the details to connect to that database from my local environment?

It might have been an Apple thing. When I tried on PC, it didn't have the same issues.
Hi again Brent.
I don't believe that, since half of us here use Apple computers. Maybe there was some cache stored, and when it got cleared it started working again.
Best regards.
