All of a sudden, I am not able to edit fields in a table that use a drop down selection for options ( image attached ). I haven't changed anything in the backend ... it just stopped working. By 'stopped working' I mean, when I click on one of these fields in the pop up edit window... nothing happens.
Please help ASAP. I have a large community of people using this site, and this functionally.
There is probably a conflict with the bootstrap.js files.
Please go to wpDataTables main Settings on your wp-admin page. You'll see Include full bootstrap front-end and Include full bootstrap back-end. Disable both sliders, hit Apply and refresh your page.
If this doesn't help, you may want to go to ../wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/source/class.wdttools.php and comment the line 999:
Now, I also noticed you have two drop-down arrows, and that shouldn't be the case - so even more proof that there's a conflict with the bootstrap files.
To fix this, please go to ../wp-content/plugins/wpdatatables/assets/css/bootstrap/wpdatatables.bootstrap.css and around line 4200, and change this:
Please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
You purchased the plugin on Envato marketplace, and you have a lifetime license. You simply need to log into the account you purchased the plugin with, and in the downloads section (the link I provided in the manual update instructions) you'll be able to download the latest version of the plugin.
I enabled the slider, so our bootstrap is available on front-end. This fixes the issue with the edit modal.
However, I see that the issue is caused by a conflict with the theme (see attachment).
I tried everything, but couldn't get it to work. We see that the theme is advertising with Bootstrap 4, and our Bootstrap is version 3+. This is probably the reason why this is happening.
Unfortunately the issues like conflicts with third party plugins or themes are always possible due to the nature of WP, and it might take significant time to investigate and replicate the issue on our side, to be able to find the source of the problem, especially when the plugin or theme is not familiar to us.
Can you send us the installation file for that theme, and one of our developers will take a look at it. We cannot guarantee anything, though.

So, just change the display property to "none". All dropdowns should work, and you should have only one down arrow.
Please check and let me know if all's good.
Best regards.

Hi again sashatiede.
I see that you're using wpDataTables v.2.4. which has been released in December last year.
Before I try to do anything with the plugin's code, can you please update the plugin to the latest version (2.7.2)?
My suggestion is to update the plugin manually by following these steps:
IMPORTANT: Do NOT delete the old version from WP-admin (by clicking “Delete” in the plugins page) if you don’t want to lose all your tables!
1. Download zip from this link
2. Use FTP to open /your_wordpress_folder/wp-content/plugins
3. Delete existing wpDataTables folder.
4. Upload previously downloaded wpDataTables folder through FTP to plugins folder (unzip it)
5. Go to WP-admin panel, open Plugins section.
6. Deactivate wpDataTables, and then activate it again.
7. Clear server and browser cache
IMPORTANT: Do NOT delete the old version from WP-admin (by clicking “Delete” in the plugins page) if you don’t want to lose all your tables!
Best regards.

Hello again sashatiede.
Thanks for the theme.
We found that the child theme includes a file from the main theme which doesn't exist: "popper.min.js":
Same thing is happening on your page.
Can you please open ../wp-content/themes/understrap-child/functions.php and you'll see this around line 20:
Please replace it with this:
Also, please reach out to the theme's creators, and ask them to provide the popper.min.js file.
When we included it from a CDN online, it all came up working normally.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
