Unable to add amelia scheduler to a page

    Hello.

    Here is the particular response error I get when I attempt to add a Amelia schedule to new page"

    Notice: Please create category, service and employee first.

    I already have 3 categories with services created and two employees and selected services for each employee but the schedule is not working.  Please advise?

    Also, the Amelia Search Wizard doesn't appear as an option when I add a new page in Wordpress.

    I tried to research to figure out how to resolve and I found a help topic to enter [AmeliaBooking] in the coding.  Although it allowed the scheduler to load, it still doesnt work properly.  In need of help.

    When I paste any of the following codes, an hour glass appears but nothing else happens:

    • [ameliabooking] if you want to show the basic Step-by-step Booking wizard,
    • [ameliabooking category=1] if you want to show only the services from a category with ID 1,
    • [ameliabooking service=1] if you want to show the booking form for the service with ID 1.
    • [ameliabooking employee=1] if you want to show the booking form for the employee with ID 1,
    • [ameliabooking location=1] if you want to show the booking form for the location with ID 1,

    Would it be best to send to me a new activation code so I can start fresh with a new zip file?

    I tried everything and I can't resolve.

    Hello Will Bridges, 

    Sorry for replying late, we are not working on weekends. 

    There is probably something wrong with the installation process of Amelia .

    My suggestion is to install/update the plugin manually by following these steps:

    1) Download the zip from our store or from the email that you received when you made the purchase

    2) Use FTP to open /yourwordpressfolder/wp-content/plugins

    3) Delete existing ameliabooking folder

    4) Upload previously downloaded ameliabooking folder through FTP to plugins folder (unzip it)

    5) Go to WP-admin panel, open Plugins section

    6) Deactivate Amelia Plugin, and then activate it again

    7) Clear server and browser cache

    If you are using hosting where you are not allowed to your FTP  then follow those instructions:

    1) Download the zip from our store or from the email that you received when you made the purchase

    2) Delete Amelia plugin from WordPress Plugins page

    3) Click on Add new on Plugins page

    4) Click on Upload plugin on Plugins page

    5) Choose previously downloaded ameliabooking zip file

    6) When uploading is done, please Activate Amelia plugin

    7) Clear server and browser cache.

    Please note that if you delete plugin from Plugins page you WILL NOT lose your data, because it is already saved in your database.

    Please note that our plugin have a size of around 6 MB so if yo are not able to upload the plugin through WordPress plugins page, then you need to increase following:

    upload_max_file size, 

    post_max_size ,

    max_execution_time

    You should be able to find these values in your php.ini file or on your hosting panel. If you can't find it yourself please ask your hosting provider to provide it.
