We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
I see from Envanto that there is an update (2 of them now) that never seem to show up as auto updates in my site. Considering I paid for this, why is it so difficult to get it updated through the normal plug in update process like every other developer has done for paid plug ins? I downloaded the latest update zip file and there are no update instructions. (again as this has happened before)
And I do have it registered correctly per the settings.
Hello Rick.
Sorry to hear you're having issues with updating the plugin.
We've had some issues with our previous version regarding auto-update. That has been fixed with the new update (2.7.1), and you should no longer experience this issue in the future.
Since you downloaded the plugin's zip installation folder, you can update it manually by following our instructions from the documentation.
Once you update the plugin, you may be also presented with the need to activate the license (using "ACTIVATE WITH ENVATO", like before). This doesn't have to be the case, but since there was a bug in the previous version, it may happen.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković

Hi,
I looked at the instructions. Before I update, I see some issues with my page working correctly. One one page, both your plugin and another work fine, but on a different page they do not. Will this update fix issues with other plugins, odd to me that one page works and another does not.
I am nervous about the manual update process. There seems to be another update. Why isn't the update process ever working normally with your plug in?
Hi Rick,
There is an issue with the auto update with the 2 latest versions of our plugin.
This is fixed now so the newest update will include the auto update to work properly.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Miloš Jovanović

I still cannot get Auto Update to work. Perhaps I still have a buggy version installed. I received an email for another update. What version should I be on? I have 2.5.1 installed. How do I manually update without screwing everything up?
Hi Rick.
Yeah, that's one of the versions that experienced issues with auto-updates.
My suggestion is to update the plugin manually by following these steps:
IMPORTANT: Do NOT delete the old version from WP-admin (by clicking “Delete” in the plugins page) if you don’t want to lose all your tables!
1. Download zip from this link
2. Use FTP to open /your_wordpress_folder/wp-content/plugins
3. Delete existing wpDataTables folder.
4. Upload previously downloaded wpDataTables folder through FTP to plugins folder (unzip it)
5. Go to WP-admin panel, open Plugins section.
6. Deactivate wpDataTables, and then activate it again.
7. Clear server and browser cache
IMPORTANT: Do NOT delete the old version from WP-admin (by clicking “Delete” in the plugins page) if you don’t want to lose all your tables!
Please let me know if that worked.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
