    Hello!
I am a new Amelia user (and it is GREAT! I am changing over from Events Manager from Modern Tribe, and your software is a big step forward!!!) and I am setting up the events calendar.

There are many events that happen for my company on a recurring basis with a specific pattern: Every 3rd Thursday at noon, or every 2nd Saturday 8-5, or on the 1st Monday of each month.

The recurring event choices for Amelia are {Weekly, Monthly, Yearly} which default to the same numerical date. For example, if I create an event on Sept 18, select 'recurring monthly', then Amelia creates future events on Oct 18 and Nov 18. The event actually happens on the 3rd Wednesday of each month (Oct 16 and Nov 20), not on the numbered day of month. Fortunately I am able to go into each of the future recurring events and correct the date as needed (hooray!) so the event set up is workable as is.

Here is the question: Is there a setting anywhere that would allow me to adjust the definition of "recurring" to choose the event position in the calendar (such as First Monday of the Year, or 3rd Wednesday in each month) rather than the numeric date?

Thanks in advance for your help, and thanks for making a great product!

    Hello Karen,

Thank you for your purchase and your kind wordssmile.pngWe are glad you find Amelia great and helpful!

I am sorry but I will have to disappoint you for this one, there is not an option for making this type of recurring appointments in Amelia at the moment.

But we are always trying to meet our customers needs and implement as much features as they want and need, so I will put your suggestion/feature in our to-do list, and we will try to implement this in one of our next updates. This would probably be a useful feature for some other customers as well.

Sorry you have to go through some extra work changing the dates by yourself but hopefully this won't be necessary in the future!

If you have any other questions or concerns don't hesitate to ask,
