I am thinking about purchasing your basic single domain license for testing purposes. If I purchase it can it also be used on my local machine which I use for development and testing before publishing to my host domain? Also if I purchase the basic package and later wish to upgrade to the developer package will the cost of the basic package be deducted from that purchase?
Yes, of course, you can use the same license on your local/staging site before publishing to your host domain. You simply need to deactivate the license from the staging site before you can activate it live site. That's all done through plugin settings.
At the moment, the procedure for switching over to another license is to first purchase the license you wish to switch to, and then ask for a refund for the Basic license.
We're planning on making that way simpler, but it is like this at the time being.
