    Dear Amelia support:

I just noticed that when the default appointment status  in "General setting" is set to "Pending",  looks like only the administrator can approve the appointment.  The drop-down option to approve the appointment (when an employee logged in) is disabled (grayed out).  So I wonder if it is possible for the employee himself to be able to log in and approve the appointment, i.e, being able to change the status from pending to Approved.

Is what I described above the way it works in Amelia ? Maybe approving appointment by an employee is already possible, and I simply did something wrong.  Could you please give me some guidance how to properly enable my employee to be able to approve their own appointment ?

    Thanks a lot.

    Dear Amelia support:

I think I made some progress on this ticket, and I think this disabled selection is related to one of the Amelia setting menu.

However, I still do not know where the employee needs to go in order to approve this appointment request from the customer. Does the employee need to login to the back end of the Wordpress to access the Amelia setting menu ?  Ideally if the employee can simply click a link in the notification email to approve the appointment, instead of having to login to WordPress.  Do you think this method of Employee approving the appointment by clicking a link inside the notification email  is possible ?

    Many thanks!

    Hello again Alec

You're correct again - there are "Roles settings" in Amelia settings, where you can allow employees to manage their appointments:

Unfortunately, there's no way other than WP log-in that they can approve the appointment.

When they log into WordPress, they will be presented with their Profile (Employees), Calendar, Appointments and Events:

That is how all Amelia User Roles work - from Manager to Customer - they have to log into WordPress to work with their accounts.

You can take a look at different user roles here.

Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

    Best regards.

    Kind Regards,
