I'm trying to create employees that already have user profiles (in the Users WP area), but no actual users are coming up in the search box below Create New.
Am I not doing something I should be doing to allow Amelia to search my user base? I've included screen shots so you can confirm I'm not misspelling anything.
Could you please tell me did you gave the employees Amelia Employee roles in WP? Since in order to connect them they need to have this role in the WP Users Settings.
If you have already done this and you still have an issue please let us know,
I didn't realize you had to assign a User as an Amelia Employee - what does that do to their status if they are already assigned the role of an WP administrator on the site? Would Amelia Manager keep them as an admin, with all the same privileges?
The Amelia roles are made for people who don't have roles in WP at all so they can have some access to Amelia (the access depends on the role that you give them). In your case, if this exact person is a WP Administrator you don't need to connect them to Employee, since they already have access to everything in WP and they will have access to everything in Amelia as well.
If you want your employees to have multiple roles, for some reason, you can use one of the plugins out there for this purpose, for example some of the customers use User Role Editor.
If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to ask,
Yes, they might have access to everything in Amelia, but unless I change them to Amelia Manager or Employee, and leave them as an Admin, they don't show up as an employee that I can add to a service or to an event. Maybe add all admins to that search list in an upcoming update?
You should make this employee in Amelia but just don't need to connect them to any WP user roles. Or you have already done this and still have an issue with assigning them services and events?
