If you create an "Attachment" column, and enable in-line editing:

You can double-click that column, and it will give you options to select a file, and to save it:

Other than that, you can simply use the edit modal to upload attachments to that column.

Yeah, this is the default behavior of the plugin. You can rename it to something else, if you go to the "Data" tab, set the type to be URL Link, and have it appear as a button. Then you can add custom text to all attachments, like this:
