We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – AmeliawpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

I set up a simple phone number directory on my company's private WP site.

The table works fine a while and then all of sudden no data. My sysadmin tells me that when the plugin gets updated it overwrites its own db and then the db name is wrong.

Do you have a new version that works?

    Thanks

    Andrew

    Hello Andrew.

Sorry to hear you lost your data.

This can only happen if you delete the plugin from the Plugins tab in your dashboard.

So, if you updated the plugin when it prompted there's an update available (by clicking on "Update now"), or if you deleted the wpdatatables folder in ../wp-content/plugins, and uploaded it manually - you couldn't lose your tables. Only user action (deleting the plugin from the Plugins section) could've caused this.

We added a feature in the newest version, so even this is resolved - from version 2.5.2 there's an option in main settings of wpDataTables "Prevent deleting tables in database" developed just because of these common, but frustrating mistakes.

When you install the newest version of the plugin (2.6.1), please make sure to go into settings of wpDataTables, and enable that slider, so whoever updates the plugin in the future doesn't do this again.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Best regards.

    Kind Regards,

    Aleksandar Vuković
