Is it possible to set the filter questions to be dynamic please, i.e. skip columns based on selection?
I'll use your product example with laptops o try explain what I'm trying to achieve. If I wanted to include desktops and tablets in the same table could the filter questions adjust to show only the relevant column options for them and not display the others? Meaning if I selected tablets the filters for 'display' and 'graphics' would disappear/not be shown (want to hide filter options until required).
I'm not a developer, I will use one to implement the work so just need to know if data tables can achieve a dynamic filter based on my product data?
I am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately our plugin doesn't yet have an option to hide filters.
We do have Powerful Filters which allow cascade filtering, so each new filter is dependant on the previous one, but hiding filters is not yet possible with the built in features.
There's probably some custom work that could achieve this, but it isn't included in provided support of the plugin.
Do you have a live demo of the cascade filters please? And can you confirm if this works with the data tables or if its a separate hierarchical filter system (this wont work given the 100,000+ varying child/parent options I would need to create).
Unfortunately we don't yet have a live sandbox where you can test it, but on the link I provided, you do have a live table, where you can see how it behaves.
The addon works with the existing filtering features, it just adds the options "Cascade filtering" and hiding the table before filtering. Doesn't matter how big the table is, it should work just fine.
We have a 15-day money back guarantee, so if it doesn't suit your needs, you will be refunded, no questions asked.
