Custom fields will not work as these can be bypassed when making an appointment in the back-end. My original question was " When making a new appointment on the backend, I would like to make a field that is currently optional become a required field."
I want to make the field "Note (Internal)" a required field, in the back end when creating a new appointment.
Sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately something like this cannot be done with the plugin's built in features.
To do this would require customizing the code of the plugin, which is not included in the provided support, and is offered on paid basis. Even if you decide to go with this, each time the plugin updates, the customization would be deleted, and would have to be created again, so I don't know how feasible it would be to do it.
