Hey everyone!
With the holiday season upon us, we want to share our upcoming working hours:
- New Year: Our team will be off on January 1st and 2nd. We’ll be back on Friday, January 3rd, to respond to any messages received during this time.
- Weekend: As usual, we don’t work on weekends, so January 4th and 5th will also be non-working days.
- Orthodox Christmas: Our office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, January 6th and 7th for the holiday.
After that, we’ll return to our regular schedule and assist you as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, you can explore our documentation for Amelia and wpDataTables. You'll find tons of helpful resources, including articles and handy video tutorials on YouTube (Amelia's YouTube Channel and wpDataTables' YouTube Channel), which might just have the answers you need while we’re away.
Thanks a bunch for your understanding and support!
Warm regards and happy holidays!

Hi,
I created an appointment in the backend for an existing WP user. The user did not show up in the "Create User from Existing WP User" option.
I don't want users to have to go through confirming an additional role in WP when they use Amelia to book appointments.
How can I fix this?
Also, is there an explanation of the url after the cancellation shortcode? How am I supposed to use that. I watched the Notifications video and there wasn't any info regarding what sort of page I need to set up for the user when they want to cancel/change their appointment. The video just said "the user can click the button to cancel the appointment".
Thank you.
Also,
Images are not appearing when I add them to the notifications. My logo does not get sent when I add it to confirmation messages.
How do I fix this?
Hello Kristen.
Thank you for your purchase.
The WP user needs to have one of the Amelia User roles set up in "Users" page of WordPress:
Amelia Manager
Amelia Customer
Amelia Employee
After you change their user role from (for example) "Subscriber" to "Amelia Customer", you will be able to add it as an existing WP user.
To add an appointment cancellation URL, you simply need to add the placeholder, like this:
What's the extension of the logo you're trying to add? It needs to be .jpg, .jpeg or .png.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,

Thank you for your response. I used the appt cancellation shortcode and it was pretty hideous. I sent a note to the support team and was advised that I need to create the url included in the shortcode.
Are you saying that I do not need to create the url and the corresponding page? If so, is there a demo on that anywhere?
The extension of my logo is .png
Hello again Kristen.
You don't need to create any cancellation URL, but they can only be sent to the customer. Employees will receive the placeholder instead of a real URL. To mask it, so it doesn't come up as a full URL, but instead something like this:
"To cancel the appointment please follow this link"
you can click on the link icon when creating the notification:
If the image will not load even if you simply paste it or use the image button, located in the screenshot above, then probably your mailing server isn't allowing images to be put in e-mails. Amelia doesn't have mailing servers, and is simply using the ones you define in settings.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
