It is possible to build a search field that take a lookup for a complete hidden table? We want to implement a search box on a page that search a hidden table.

Hello Timo.
You can simply hide all columns from front-end, and still use the global search function, although it will still be displayed as a blank result:
Would you like to hide the table before search is applied, and then display only the results?

My suggestion is to take a look at our Add-on Powerful filters on this page.
There you will see the option to hide the table and only display it after you click on search button as well as some other examples.
