We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hello,
I used the %appointment_cancel_url% in my successful appointment email.
In the body of the transactional confirmation, this is what the client sees:
If something comes up and you need to cancel, you can click here to let me know https://kristenarneberg.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=wpamelia_api&call=/bookings/cancel/4&token=cd717ea89b&type=appointment.
When clicked, it sends the user to my homepage.
Is there a way to create a simpler link address and is it possible to create a "successful cancellation" notice?
I appears that the the link doesn't work because there is no confirmation.
How do I fix this so the client can cancel the appointment as noted in the documentation?
Also, is there a way to customize the notifications based on which service they booked? That would be wonderful!
Thanks!
Hi Kriten,
Thank you for your purchase.
Can you please tell me did you specify the URL in the Amelia Settings->Notifications settings
Successful Cancellation Redirect URL:
( attachment)
"Also, is there a way to customize the notifications based on which service they booked?"
Sorry to disappoint you but unfortunately something like this is not possible to achieve with the plugin built in features at the moment.
Best regards.

Hi Bogdan,
Ack! I missed that (a little tired over here and sorry for the wrong screenshot!). I will add the url and if possible, can you note the customized notifications as a feature request?
Thanks!
HI Kristen,
No problem.
This feature is on our TODO list and hopefully we can implement it for some of the future updates.
Best regards.

Sooooo,
I am still confused. I tried putting the shortcode in the link and it did not work, not that I expected it to.
I clicked on the link in this thread and it takes me to the homepage. I assume it is because the link is dynamic and connected to the specific appointment.
So my questions is, how do I hide the link (preferably with specific steps) if it is dynamically generated and hidden within the shortcode settings?
In other word, there seem to be two options:
1. Use the shortcode in the email = that results in a screwy link as noted in this thread.
2. Use the shortcode in a link = that results in a dead link.
What is the third option I am missing?
Well, now the link is working. Not sure what changed but that's great!
HI Kristen,
Sorry for late response, we are not working on weekends.
Can you please confirm me that everything is working fine now.
Best regards.
