I have just brought Amelia. I cannot set up a service as a mandatory field is employee which I do not have any yet. (In the quick start guide it does not ask for employee which would solve the problem but for me it is a mandatory field)
When I try to set up an employee I get in small red letters under the email field
"Unable to add data in AmeliaBookingInfrastructureRepositoryScheduleWeekDayRepository"
Is this because I have no services and so I am in a Catch 22?
I would be very grateful for any help
Thanks
Simon
PS would the wordpress user for me be my login username for the site?
All you need to add is at least one service and at least one employee and you can start using booking forms.
So, creating a Category/Service and employee is mandatory for you to be able to book appointments.
As for the error when creating the Employee, it's usually linked to your database user not having privileges to create REFERENCES in the database. So when Amelia plugin tries to create all tables in the database, it can't because it can't add table references.
Can you please contact your hosting provider and ask them to add REFERENCES privilege to your role. After this please get back to me to see if everything works fine.
If not, please provide me a temporary WP-admin login and C-Panel credentials for your site credentials where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE so nobody can see them except us.
I will try to reinstall the plugin from scratch and see if this will happen again.
I phoned GoDaddy and they said that as my website is on a shared server so they cannot alter REFERENCES. The only way to do that would be to have a dedicated server which would be too expensive.
They do not use Cpanel
They said that it is unlikely that you would be able to do anything and to use a different plugin. I am not sure that this makes sense as I would suppose that other plugins would still need REFERENCES changing?
Yeah, that's expected since the folder was still present in your FTP.
I went ahead, deleted it, and installed the plugin directly from the WordPress' Dashboard. Now the database looks good (see attachment). And I was able to create an employee without any errors.
Please go ahead and configure the plugin as per our Quickstart guide, and test it out.

Hello Simon.
Thank you for your purchase.
Just like our quick-start guide says:

Best regards.

Alright Simon.
I'll wait for your response, and when (if) you provide me with PHPMyAdmin credentials, I'm sure we'll get it done.
Best regards.
