I see that you can setup expanding columns on tablet and mobile view, but is there a way to setup expanding columns on a standard desktop view? Ideally I would love to be able to display 2-4 columns in each row and then have the '+' icon to display a number of other columns, some of which can be larger text blocks.
Or maybe even better is there a way to add a view link/button to the row? So I can display 2-4 columns in the table but then have a view button that would open a pop modal or something similar where I can display a large number of columns in a stacked vertical format?
You can enable the same feature on desktops as well, you simply need to increase the tablet width in main settings of wpDataTables. You can see how to do that in our documentation, in the video around 1:00 mark.
As for displaying it in a modal view, unfortunately that is still not an option, but it is currently being developed, so this feature will be implemented in one of our future releases. I cannot say when, though, but I hope it will be soon.

Hello Scott.
Thank you for your interest in our plugin.
