Hello! I just got email about new update of Amelia booking. So I'm wondering how to do it? Do i have to uninstall plugin and then install it again? I'm asking just to be sure that that i will not lost all my data in Amelia. Also I couldn't find any article about update in Docs? And why there is no auto update? Is it always i have to do updates manually?
Please note that our plugin is around 6MB in, so if you are not able to upload plugin through WordPress plugins page, and update it automatically by entering the purchase code, then you need to increase
upload_max_file size,
post_max_size ,
max_execution_time
You should be able to find these values in your php.ini file or on your hosting panel. If you can't find it yourself please ask your hosting provider to provide it.
If this doesn't work, you can always update the plugin manually by following these steps:
You need to download premium version form email that you got when you made this purchase. Also, you received an email with credentials for our store https://store.tms-plugins.com/login where you can download the premium version from.
My suggestion is to update the plugin manually by following these steps:
1.) Download zip from our store or from email that you receive when you make purchase
2.) Use FTP to open /yourwordpressfolder/wp-content/plugins
3.) Delete existing ameliabooking folder.
4.) Upload previously downloaded ameliabooking folder through FTP to plugins folder (unzip it)
5.) Go to WP-admin panel, open Plugins section.
6.) Deactivate Amelia Plugin, and then activate it again.
7.) Clear server and browser cache
Please note that deleting and re-uploading the plugin does not remove any settings nor does it clear existing employees, services and appointments.
If you are using hosting where you are not allowed to your FTP then follow those instructions:
1.) Download zip from our store or from email that you receive when you make purchase
2.) Delete Amelia plugin from WordPress Plugins page
3) Click on Add new on Plugins page
4) Click on Upload plugin on Plugins page
5.) Choose previously downloaded ameliabooking zip file
6.) When uploading is done, please Activate Amelia plugin

I Have all the same questions as Rafael. Im confused as to why a second upload has to be made. Surely this will mean loss of settings.
Amelia has a setting for Auto update using the purchase code. Does this have any use?
