Every time I update to the latest version of wpDataTables I have to go and modify config.inc to allow me to be able to reconnect to my MSSQL server. Why can't this update be more intelligent? Or am I doing something wrong when I press the Update button on the Plugin page in Wordpress?
Yeah, sorry for the inconvenience, but unfortunately when updates occur, they override all files in the plugin. Config.inc.php file being one of them. It replaces the file you modified with the default values where sqlsrv driver is disabled, and dblib enabled.
Unfortunately, at the time being, this is the only way when some hosting providers are concerned.

I just wanted to add a screenshot of what I experience when I update.
