It seems that there's a conflict with some other plugin that's using LESS.
Can you, please, start deactivating plugins one by one, and after each deactivation try to activate Amelia again. If it still gives you the error, activate that plugin and move on to the next.
When you successfully activate Amelia you will have found the plugin causing the conflict.
Thanks for your reply. The issue seems to be resolved. Our main theme uses ARK and to solve the problem we disabled the plugin then activate Amelia. Finally, we reactivated our plugin and everything worked out.
