I have one employee that works at multiple locations. Currently I am limited to assigning 1 location per person. How do I get around this? It is crucial for my clients to have the option to select any of the locations to work with me.
I am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately assigning one employee to multiple locations is not possible with the built-in features of the plugin.
You would need to duplicate the employee, and set the working hours on each location, so they don't overlap, and if you'd like we can send you some custom CSS to hide the employee dropdown.
This guidance is helpful, though it is not the best solution. Could you please send the custom css to hide the employee dropdown and indicate where I would add this on my wordpress backend?
In my scenario, city tour guides offer different tours through Berlin, with different starting points. But as they can't start at 2 or more places at the same time an additional field for the location in the services would be great!
My client also desperately needs this functionality. They use Amelia to book student tours of a large U.S. college. Each tour meets at a different location at a different time, but the SAME person gives all the tours. The workaround is for her to have two "employee" records, which require unique emails. It's really a clunky workaround, and affects her ability to also add everything to a single Google calendar, etc. Based on other comments here, I'd say this isn't such an unrealistic feature request.
I installed Amelia 2.1 yesterday and the changelog says it supports multiple locations for employees, but when I go to edit an employee, it's still a dropdown that only allows a single selection. I have two locations set up, so is there some other way?
Same problem here. Was waiting for this feature. Whats up guys?
EDIT: It seems there is an misunderstanding here. We wanted workers be able to be ready to be bookable throughout all the time in all locations. In the backend I just saw the opportunity now to book one employe for one time period for a specific location. Is that right? Aren't there opportunities to have a worker throughout the time bookable for all locations?
When you edit an employee's tab, you need to set the default location:
But, when you go to "Working Hours", you can set a different location for each time period, like this:
We've had a lot of people asking for this feature, and that is why it was implemented. I can see now that you all are asking for an option so a customer can choose a service on a specific location, not depending on the working period of an employee. This brings up other issues, however. For example, if an employee works on one appointment at one location, and the second one is 100 kilometers away, we'd have to insert new conditional logic which would prevent choosing a location which is over XX distance from the previous one within a given period.
Your requests will be forwarded to the development team, so they can work on it for one of our future updates.

Hello Dancinstarburst.
Thank you for your purchase.

Dear Aleksandar
Thank you for the speedy response.

Many thanks,

Hi Aleksandar,
I put my vote for multiple locations in as well.

Hello Andrew,
Dully noted. The multiple locations will be implemented in the next plugin update.
I can't say exactly when that will be, but it will be pretty soon. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it will be resolved soon.
Kind regards.

Just adding another vote for the "multiple locations for employee" thing!
Dully noted, Adam.
You guys can always vote for existing, and add new feature requests on this page.
Thanks for being a part of Amelia's development.

I too was under the impression that multiple locations for one employee was already a feature as suggested by the changelog on the Envato website.

Okay, that makes sense. I'll try to set mine up with this and see if it works for us. Thanks!
My employees look different (v2.1)...
Hi Andreas.
Do you have any locations created?
If you don't have any locations created, then there are no locations to be assigned to an employee. Please check this, and let us know.
Best regards.
