When I try to save or "apply" on many (not all?) of my existing tables, I get the error "There was an error while trying to save the table! error" "You are not authorized to access the page requested." Also the new entry , edit and delete functions don't appear in tables tools. It may not be related, but this problem arose after I upgraded to PHP 7.0.
Switching to V5.6 didn't help. Most tables are manual, one is improrted from Excel. These tables worked before. You will have to tell me how to check the mod_security status. I do know how to access cPanel.
You can reach out to your hosting provider and ask them to disable it. If you don't have access to C-Panel, that's the only option.
The 404 means "Page not found". You haven't tried updating PHP version to 7 or more?
Also, could you please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I had this same problem this week after some plugin updates for WPDataTables, our DIVI theme and some others that are currently inactive. . WPDataTables is working agin after disabling and then re-enabling a plugin we use called "My Private Site"
We use that plugin to limit access to data tables.
The only plugin I am having problems with is WPData. I switched to Ninja Tables Pro and recreated my tables with no problem. Sorry but I have deactivated your product.
I'm sorry to hear you decided not to use wpDataTables, but like wiredlisa mentioned - their issue was caused by a conflict with another plugin.
Unfortunately the issues like conflicts with third party plugins or themes are always possible due to the nature of WP.
Also, the errors you kept getting were "You are not authorized to access the page requested" and 404 - The HTTP 404, 404 Not Found, 404, Page Not Found, or Server Not Found error message is a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) standard response code, in computer network communications, to indicate that the browser was able to communicate with a given server, but the server could not find what was requested. So, like I said - the issue is not coming from our plugin, but instead there's something blocking your access to a given page or table (a plugin or the theme you're using, or security settings).
Have you reached out to your hosting provider in the end, did they deactivate the mod_security?

Hello marcsontag
Thank you for your purchase.
I personally use PHP v.7.3.4 so I don't believe it is linked to this.
Can you tell me is the error specific for certain table types (manual, imported, linked to a data source)?
Also, do you have mod_security enabled or another security plugin that may be blocking this?
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
