I am using Formidable Forms integration with wpData Tables, and have 4 columns. I can see how to sort on individual columns, but I have two columns, one that is a date column, and the other which is a time column.
I need a way to sort on date and time as one combined sort. How can I accomplish this please?
I am sorry to disappoint you, but unfortunately something like this is not possible with the plugin's built in features.
If you set one column to be the default column for sorting, and then do the same for the second column - the settings for first column will clear, and use the second one for default sorting.
Formidable Forms Pro comes with a way to display results in spread sheet form, but unfortunately its features in that format are fairly limited when compared to wpData Tables.
Although the sort limitations are actually better, if defined properly in the Formidable' Views area but, front-end sorting is fairly limited.
There's a reason to use both then..
One: Formidable Forms Pro has a method for adding edit and delete links in columns - which are required for some users. While wpData Tables uses front end filtering, which I actually would like to provide on the front end.
Is there a way to add additional custom columns in wpData Tables, where I could insert my own html links for "Edit" and "Delete" methods: which would both be executed by Formidable?
Because, if so, I could get along without front end sorting (I would pre-define a cascading sort in the "Views" back-end setup area of Formidable), and would then use only wpData Tables on the front-end, for it's quick front-end filtering, and its native ability to print and download data by front-end users.
Now, if you have a date column in your table, and want to display only dates that are less than today's date, you can add a conditional formatting rule for that column (see attachment). When you apply that rule, it will display only the dates before today, like this:
While the contents of the table without the rule are these:

Hello Timothy.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

I had one other question then..

Thank you for your kind assistance.
I have a date field in the table, and I want to limit the displayed data to dates that are less than today's date.
I cannot use an actual date, like today's date because I want to work without my having to update the wpData Table settings each day.
Is there a way to do this?
BTW: you can forget the question about inserting custom data, below; because I found a workaround elsewhere.
Hello Timothy.
Regarding Formidable Forms integration for wpDataTables - please note that tables created from Gravity are not editable.
Now, if you have a date column in your table, and want to display only dates that are less than today's date, you can add a conditional formatting rule for that column (see attachment). When you apply that rule, it will display only the dates before today, like this:
While the contents of the table without the rule are these:
I hope this helps.
Best regards.
