I need to use cascade filtering based on 4 fields (4 consecutive columns).
But I need to pre-define the value of the first 2 columns when I call the table (that means, no manual selection given that they are filtered in advance).
When I try to pre-define the filter value for these columns, I can`t do that if the cascade filtering is enabled.
You're right, even though the selection is made, it doesn't apply until you select the filter and click away from it again.
We're aware of the issue, and our developers are currently working on resolving the issue. I can't say if it will be implemented in the next update, though.
It is indeed a problem and inconvenience for me. I bought this plugin because I have a very important Client where I need these filtering capabilities.
I really need this issue to be fixed in the next update, because this time (in comparison with my other tickets), I have an urgency to fulfill .
I will really appreciate if you keep me posted about the progress in this issue, and count with me if you need a beta tester.
Unfortunately, I cannot say if it will be implemented in the next update, since the new update is going to be released in the near future, and the issue has been recently reported.
I can offer you a workaround, though.
If I understood you correctly - you want the filter to be pre-defined, and disable any manual selection after that, correct?
In order to avoid that, may I suggest masking the URL, so it shows only the source table:
http://localhost/wpdt-2.5/test-4
While the filters are still applied.
I will talk to one of my developers to see if they can speed up the resolution of the issue. And, as for beta testing, please write us your e-mail address in a private reply here, so I can forward it and see if there's need for extra testers. If so, you'll receive the link where beta version is.
I have forwarded your e-mail address and if there's need for more beta testers, you will receive an e-mail with the link to the beta version.
Unfortunately, as for the main issue - our developers are very busy at the moment and can't promise anything. I'm still waiting for a concrete response from them, so I'll let you know as soon as I find something out.

Hello again Jose.

You can pre-filter the table through URL, like this:
http://localhost/wpdt-2.5/test-4/?wdt_column_filter[2]=markcell&wdt_column_filter[3]=Celso
and the result would be:
While the whole table looks like this:
Of course, this may be an issue because users can simply delete
?wdt_column_filter[2]=markcell&wdt_column_filter[3]=Celso
and they would be able to see the whole table.
In order to avoid that, may I suggest masking the URL, so it shows only the source table:
http://localhost/wpdt-2.5/test-4
While the filters are still applied.
