We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Thanks!
Hello Matt.
Thank you for your interest in our plugin.
1. When you set the editor input type to be "Single-value selectbox" or "Multi-value selectbox", it can be edited from within the cell when you enable "In-line editing". It would come up when you double-click on that cell. Please take a look at the attached screencast to see how it works.
2. Gravity Forms based tables can be edited, while Formidable Forms based tables cannot. That's the main difference between these two add-ons. They are add-ons that require wpDataTables and core versions of these two plugins installed and activated on your WordPress website to be able to work! However, integration with other Formidable or Gravity Forms add-ons isn’t confirmed, so we cannot guarantee that it will work.
For Gravity forms:
- Editing existing entry for multi-page form – Editing will work but it will be rendered as a single page form, the same way as it is on the Gravity forms edit page.
- Duplicate option not working for editing existing entries – Gravity form doesn’t validate this option on editing existing entries.
- Configuring table relations (foreign key) – This option is not available for Gravity based tables, but it is available with Formidable forms.
- Choosing editor input type – This falls under the first limitation. Because we are rendering Gravity form in edit popup modal it is not possible to choose editor input type.
Please note these limitations for both plugins with wpDataTables:
3. You can display the table on any part of the page using the shortcode. However, conflicts with other plugins, themes and page builders are always possible due to the nature of WordPress. So, while we have a lot of users that place our tables in Visual Composer, some issues like padding and word wrapping are always possible.
Please let me know if you have any more questions, I'll gladly help.
Best regards.
Kind Regards,
Aleksandar Vuković
