I purchased WPDataTables Lite about a year ago and never had a reason to use support.  Now I have a problem with WPDataTables and Wordpress 5.1.1 and cannot get support because of the 6 month support limit.  Maybe you support limit should consider the number of calls as well as time.

My table works with WordPress 4.9 but not with 5.1.1

How can I get some support?

    Hi Theodore,
    Thank you for your purchase.

I believe that you mean premium version ( you said Lite- because Lite is free version). All our servers, sandbox production and dev servers are running on latest WordPress version and our tables are working fine, as you can check on sandbox http://sandbox.wpdatatables.com/ and also in our documentation ( one of the tables https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/creating-wpdatatables/creating-wpdatatables-from-excel/)

As we are using Envato as the marketplace for selling the product, you can read more about:

    https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/208191263-What-is-Item-Support-

    and

    https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/207886473-Extending-and-Renewing-Item-Support

I suppose that you also update some other thing like plugin or theme which can cause conflicts, but not because of WordPress version.

We find some of our tables on your website, and we notice that you are not using the latest version of plugin. (attachment) We can not guarantee for compatibility or security for older version of plugin.

Please update your plugin on latest version.

    Best regards.

    Milan,

Thank you for your timely reply.

You are correct, I am running the Premium version of WSPDataTables and not the lite version.

I read through the links you provided and well as the screen shot you provided.  The links were helpful and the screen shot showed I have to change a few column widths.

I tried to do the update to the latest version of WPDataTables but got the following message:

    wpDataTablesDeactivate

Add interactive tables easily from any input source

    Version 2.1 | By TMS-Plugins | View details

Update Failed: The package could not be installed.

I then went to the WPDataTables setting thinking that the problem was that the purchase code was wrong.  When I tried to change the purchase code to the correct code and got the following error message.

    Error
wpDataTables could not connect to MySQL server. MySQL said: Access denied for user 'QryUser'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Obviously there is something wrong in my setup and I do not know what it is.  What database in the MySQL server is it looking for?  QryUser is a user we created and it has access privileges to wordpress663 .

As you saw in the website, I use many WPDataTables and they all work fine except the two tables that are Table of Contents and use URL Links to other pages

Aside from the above, my fundamental problem is with the links to the pages pointed to by the table of contents.  See the attachments.  For some reason I do not understand, somehow the extra url (outlined in red) gets added.  If I delete the extra url the page appears.  In the active site you saw the extra url does not appear.

    Thanks for your help

    Hi Theodore,

My suggestion is to update the plugin manually by following these steps:

1.) Download zip from this link

2.) Use FTP to open /yourwordpressfolder/wp-content/plugins

    3.) Delete existing wpdatatables folder.

4.) Upload previously downloaded wpdatatables folder through FTP to plugins folder (unzip it)

5.)  Go to WP-admin panel, open Plugins section.

6.) Deactivate wpDataTables, and then activate it again.

7.) Clear server and browser cache

IMPORTANT: Do NOT delete the old version from WP-admin (by clicking “Delete” in the plugins page) if you don’t want to lose all your tables!

About the wpDataTables could not connect to MySQL server, please check your credentials for that user that you insert in wpdatatables.

About the URL links as I can see that is not related with functionality of our plugin. Please check URL of that pages or Links from which is coming from.

    Best regards.
