For example: html code <video> or <audio>. If you select a HTML-code editor, it does not allow you to write random code. I also tried to use the data type "string" (single-line, multi-line) and this also does not help. It turns out that an randon HTML-code can not be written in a cell?
The HTML-code editor is just an Editor input type. Can you try setting the column's type to "String", and then either "One-line edit" or "Multi-line edit" and try again?
It should see it as HTML, not as an invalid input type.
If it still gives you issues, can you please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.
I did as you wrote. I created a new table and in the column with the data type "string" (and then either "One-line edit" or "Multi-line edit") I tried to insert a simple tag <p>Test</p> and it works. But if you try to insert a tag <video>, then (after saving) the data from the cell is simply erased (see the screen recording attached below). I will sent you login in next pravate massege to access my site.
The plugin can't work with the same set of rules that usually apply to HTML. It is able to do some things, but not all.
However, there's a simple solution to what you're trying to achieve. Please take a look at "TEST SUPPORT" table [wpdatatable id=15]. The first row opens the video directly from the media library, and it's composed like this:
Thank you very much. I figured it out. But the problem with inserting a random code is still relevant. Now I am trying to insert a plugin code with a gallery into a cell of the table. And nothing happens. I made a screen recording that I do (1 minute 27 seconds) please look.I also left the password and login for my site that I sent in this ticket earlier (in a private message).
Now, as for shortcodes not showing the gallery. Can you, please, try changing your theme? I saw some errors in the console when I inspected the page, so I want to rule out any possible conflicts with the theme.
If it still doesn't work, I'll do my best to help you out.
I downloaded both plugins, and am sad to say that the issue is persistent on my end as well. I simply cannot get the generated shortcodes to work with wpDataTables.
Unfortunately the issues like conflicts with third party plugins or themes are always possible due to the nature of WP.
The only plugin we have been using is WP Lightbox 2. Even though WP says it's outdated, we still use it without any issues. You can take a look at our documentation to see the plugin live in action in one of our tables.
Thank you for your patience with my delayed responses. There are a lot of tickets coming in, and I'm trying to dedicate my attention to each one individually.
Again, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask - that's why we're here.

So, basically, an <a href="url">video</a>. Nothing special.
I see that you're trying to add it to a cell, so there's a simple shortcode taken from WordPress Codex you can add to a cell and it works just fine:
So for the video in that table, I used:
And that's it. The only thing I had to do was to enable the "Parse shortcodes" slider in main settings of wpDataTables:
Please let me know if this helps.
Best regards.

I changed the WP theme and 4 errors in the console no longer appear. But the problem with loading the slider in the table cell remained. Just in case, I disabled all plugins except the gallery and tables.
I also put another popular plugin with a gallery and the result is the same.

Hi Svinauh.
I see what you mean. There may be a possibility those shortcodes simply don't work with wpDataTables.
Could you send us those two plugins, so we can test them thoroughly in our local environment?
Best regards.

Thank you very much! I tried the WP Lightbox 2 plugin and it completely suits me! By the way, the documentation and video clips are very cool.
You are very welcome, Svinauh.
I'm glad I could help. It's a simple plugin, but does the job pretty well.
If you have any more issues or questions feel free to open a new ticket, we will gladly help.
We'd greatly appreciate it if you could take a minute and leave a Review on CodeCanyon on this link. Thanks!
Best regards.

I went to the site CodeCanyon, logged in, and did not find how to leave a review on the product. Help me please.
Hi Svinauh.
It should be in your profile, under downloads.
When you click on the plugin, there should be an option to leave a review.
Best regards, and thanks in advance!
