The HTML-code editor is just an Editor input type. Can you try setting the column's type to "String", and then either "One-line edit" or "Multi-line edit" and try again?

It should see it as HTML, not as an invalid input type.

If it still gives you issues, can you please provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just check Private Reply so nobody can see them except us.

The plugin can't work with the same set of rules that usually apply to HTML. It is able to do some things, but not all.

However, there's a simple solution to what you're trying to achieve. Please take a look at "TEST SUPPORT" table [wpdatatable id=15]. The first row opens the video directly from the media library, and it's composed like this:

<a href="http://kb.vistex.ru/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Priemka-1-minusy-rasshifrovka-Zadacha-Panova-EB-Otchet-Vedomost-raschetov-s-klientami.mp4">video</a>

So, basically, an <a href="url">video</a>. Nothing special.

I see that you're trying to add it to a cell, so there's a simple shortcode taken from WordPress Codex you can add to a cell and it works just fine:

[video src="video-source.mp4"]

So for the video in that table, I used:

[video src="http://kb.vistex.ru/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Priemka-1-minusy-rasshifrovka-Zadacha-Panova-EB-Otchet-Vedomost-raschetov-s-klientami.mp4"]

And that's it. The only thing I had to do was to enable the "Parse shortcodes" slider in main settings of wpDataTables:

Glad to hear you figured out the issue.

Now, as for shortcodes not showing the gallery. Can you, please, try changing your theme? I saw some errors in the console when I inspected the page, so I want to rule out any possible conflicts with the theme.

I downloaded both plugins, and am sad to say that the issue is persistent on my end as well. I simply cannot get the generated shortcodes to work with wpDataTables.

Unfortunately the issues like conflicts with third party plugins or themes are always possible due to the nature of WP.

The only plugin we have been using is WP Lightbox 2. Even though WP says it's outdated, we still use it without any issues. You can take a look at our documentation to see the plugin live in action in one of our tables.
